< 100 in a bleeding or obstetric patient — call now; cryoprecipitate is the anticipated order.

What you do
  • Falling fibrinogen + falling platelets + rising PT/PTT = DIC picture — assemble the trend for the provider
  • Anticipate cryoprecipitate orders when < 100 with bleeding
